Integrative Herbal and Acupuncture Clinic

About Dr Maxa

I am a practicing Internal Medicine physician with well over 15 years of clinical experience in multiple healthcare settings, hospital, nursing home, outpatient clinics.

I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the intent behind my practice at the Integrative Clinic is to bring the best of my experie to benefit my clients.

The goal for this next phase is to draw from the internal medicine  experience and compliment it with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles. This unique blend offers a comprehensive approach that addresses multiple dimensions of health in more holistic way. As a licensed acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner, I will incorporate techniques such as acupuncture and herbal remedies into my treatment plans when appropriate. This integration is in my opinion invaluable for patients seeking alternative therapies alongside conventional medicine in a safe way.

My pursuit of integrating Eastern and Western medicine is not just professional, it is deeply personal. I have seen firsthand the transformative power of this approach through my own experience, as well as many others that I have had the privilege to meet during my training and practicing years.

Services Provided

I am excited to integrate Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine into my Internal Medicine practice.

This holistic approach can compliment conventional treatments and can offer a more gentle solution to various health concerns, including but not limited to pain management. By combining these methods of evaluation and treatment with modern medicine, I can offer my patients a range of key benefits, including improved pain management, reduced stress, and enhanced overall wellness, thereby promoting a more natural addition to the standard of care modern practice.

Internal Medicine

My focus is not only on the modern standards of care but also on an integrative approach that emphasizes wellness and nutrition. This holistic perspective allows me to effectively manage chronic conditions, support post-acute care recovery, and enhance overall health in my outpatient practice.

Acupuncture

I am also licensed in TCM methods of diagnosis and treatment, I offer acupuncture services to address multiple conditions including pain, as well as stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders, and headaches, among others that have been shown through research methods to be effectively helped by acupuncture.

Herbal medicine can provide additional options to support certain conditions. This enables a more holistic approach to patient care. It has behind it thousands of years of empirical data and it still stands the test of time.
